Founded in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, U.S. Senator Robert Taft, Jr. and Sam Beard,
the Jefferson Award is the Nation’s most prestigious award for public service and in
NJ it’s the Governor’s award for public service.

Honorees of the New Jersey State Governor's Jefferson Award achieve measurable community impact and represent outstanding acts of public service, without the expectation of recognition or compensations.

Recipients demonstrate unique vision, dedication and tenacity of heroic proportion and serve as inspiration for others.

We will be accepting nominations until January 31, 2019
